Jackson C. Frank was a singer-songwriter who took his payout from a horrific burn event and used it to travel overseas. WXJM, the radio station that sponsors the MACRoCk music festival (host of Sufjan Stephens, Animal Collective, Fugazi, Of Montreal, Elliot Smith, Waxahatchee), opened a lyric poster contest and I decided to submit something that used scans of my keepsakes from the UK and Italy. I used his song Blues run the Game and was highlighted on the radio’s social media.
